Personal Biography
Dr. Matthew Geffen earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he was honored to serve as Chief Resident, gaining advanced clinical experience and further strengthening his commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Dr. Geffen believes every patient should be treated like family—with compassion, honesty, and attention to detail. He strives to make every dental visit comfortable and stress-free while building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve lifelong oral health. His favorite part of dentistry is earning patients’ trust and seeing the positive impact healthy, confident smiles have on their quality of life.
A lifelong Long Island resident who grew up in Syosset, Dr. Geffen enjoys spending time with his wife and young son when he’s away from the office. Much of his free time is spent chasing after his toddler, but he also enjoys watching sports, reading a good book, and making lasting memories with his family.
