Personal Biography

Dr. María Augusta Yépez is a compassionate and dedicated dentist who believes that dentistry is about more than treating teeth—it’s about transforming lives. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies in Human Biology at Hunter College. She further refined her clinical skills through a General Practice Residency at St. Charles, gaining experience in comprehensive care, pain management, and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Yépez is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), and American Society for Dental Aesthetics (ASDA).

With over three years of clinical experience, Dr. Yépez is committed to staying at the forefront of her field. She has completed numerous continuing education courses with the American Society for Dental Aesthetics—including hands-on training in composite restorations and veneer cementation—as well as CE coursework through the Suffolk County Dental Society in diagnosis, treatment planning, and regenerative techniques. In 2024, she was honored with the Smigel Scholarship from ASDA in recognition of her dedication to aesthetic dentistry.

What drives Dr. Yépez is the opportunity to help patients feel confident, healthy, and pain-free. Her gentle approach and personalized care reflect her core philosophy: to treat every patient with the same empathy and attention she would offer her own family.

Originally from Ecuador, Dr. Yépez moved to Spain at the age of 14 and later to the United States at 25, where her journey in dentistry began. She shares her life with her husband and their beloved 9-year-old dog. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, dancing, long walks, and sharing coffee and conversations with her mom, sister, cousins, and friends.88.
