Personal Biography
Dr. Gayatri Vohra, D.D.S., is an endodontist at The Smilist Dental with more than 17 years of experience in dentistry. She specializes in endodontic care, with advanced training focused on diagnosing and treating conditions involving the dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of the teeth.
Dr. Vohra earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and completed her advanced Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While at UCSF, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, graduated with Honors in Endodontics, and received the Northern California Academy of Endodontics Award.
Dr. Vohra is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dental Sciences and is part of the part-time Endodontics faculty at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She has also served as an instructor at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Her specialty training allows her to evaluate and treat problems affecting the inside of the tooth, including cases that may require root canal treatment. Root canal therapy removes infected or damaged tissue from inside the tooth so the tooth can be cleaned, sealed, and preserved whenever possible.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vohra enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family.
