Personal Biography
Dr. Alexander Toth, DMD, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Originally from Latham, New York, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Boston University before attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and graduated magna cum laude.
Dr. Toth completed his four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, an NYU Grossman School of Medicine–affiliated teaching hospital, serving as chief resident during his final year. His hospital-based training included advanced dental implant and reconstructive surgery, bone and sinus grafting, general anesthesia and intravenous sedation, oral and maxillofacial pathology, infection management, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, and salivary gland surgery.
His clinical practice focuses primarily on dental implant placement, full-arch implant treatment, bone and sinus grafting, wisdom tooth removal, complex extractions, oral pathology, and office-based anesthesia. Dr. Toth combines his broad surgical training with an attentive and reassuring approach, taking the time to explain treatment clearly and help patients feel comfortable throughout their care.
Dr. Toth is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Association. He also authored a textbook chapter on technological, material, and procedural advancements in dental implant surgery, published in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Medicine, and Pathology for the Clinician.
He lives in Westchester County with his wife, Emily, an orthodontist, and their two children, Henry and Violet. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, photography, reading, playing guitar, traveling, visiting museums, and attending live music.
