Personal Biography

Dr. Mandy Bauer received her D.D.S from New York University College of Dentistry and did her residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Pediatric Dentistry.

Practicing dentistry since 1992, Dr. Bauer Ioves helping children realize that they can become amazing dental patients and not fear going to the dentist but actually look forward to their visits. As a fearful child, her dentist would just turn on the nitrous oxide and she would fall asleep and never learned how to manage her apprehension. Therefore, Dr. Bauer loves when her patients are proud of themselves after a successful appointment.

Dr. Bauer believes that dentistry can be a painless experience and I would like to make it that way for all her patients. After many years of private practice, Dr. Bauer enjoyed “reminiscing” with one of her now college age patients about how she hid behind the panorex at the first appointment and would not voluntarily come out. However, with time, she became an exemplary dental patient. It is memories like this that allow Dr. Bauer to appreciate her profession, as she especially enjoys getting to know my patients as they grow from young children to young adults.

Dr. Bauer grew up and lived for many years on Long Island while her five children were growing up, as she has one daughter and four sons. In her spare time, Dr. Bauer enjoys reading, doing puzzles, cuddling with her two dachshunds, and spending quality time with her children and two grandsons.

What others are saying about The Smilist Dental

“What a great experience! Everyone who works here is kind and caring. They take the time to explain what’s going on. They’re friendly. They make you feel taken care of. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, and I normally hate going to the dentist.”
