Personal Biography
Dr. Robert L. Daschbach was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where he graduated from Central High School and was a Pennsylvania State Champion in wrestling. He earned a full scholarship to Washington and Jefferson College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Biology. An accomplished wrestler, Dr. Dascbach was Washington and Jefferson’s first wrestler to become a NCAA All-American, earning a 5th place National Title at the Division III Level in 1975 and in that year his wrestling landed him a spot in Sports Illustrated.
Dr. Daschbach received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1982. He received high honors in both Oral Surgery and Crown and Bridge work. In addition, Dr. Daschbach worked in the Psychology Department at Temple in the area of Dental Fear.
Dr. Daschbach went on to complete his dental residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, PA.
In October 1984 Dr. Daschbach opened his own family dental practice in Kulpsville, PA, with the desire to meet the community’s dental needs with the highest quality treatment possible. The same day his practice opened its doors, his only daughter, Amanda was born! The practice was moved to this location, 390 Harleysville Pike, in 1996.
Dr. Daschbach is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is currently working toward his Mastership Degree. He has a passion for teaching that can be seen through his education of staff and mentoring dental students from Temple Dental School. He has seen several staff members continue on to become hygienists and even dentists themselves.
Under the Mama project, Dr. Daschbach set up dental clinics in Honduras. He also worked with Calvary Church of Souderton to develop a dental van ministry to help the underserved in the city of Philadelphia. His desire to serve his community and take care of missionaries and their families, is seen in the practice to this day.
Outside of the office he can be found spending time with his daughter, son-in-law and playing with his very energetic grandsons. He enjoys reading the Bible and inspirational books, listening to music and playing the guitar.
