Personal Biography
With nearly four decades of experience, Dr. Steven A. Procopio has built his career on a simple but powerful principle: treat every patient like family. A graduate of LeMoyne College and the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Procopio completed his residency at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Procopio is committed to improving his patients’ quality of life—not just their smiles. He has earned a reputation for combining clinical excellence with genuine compassion and deep personal connection to his patients. One memorable example was a 23-year-old new patient who asked him to extract all her teeth and make dentures. Instead of simply agreeing, Dr. Procopio sat with her for nearly an hour, talking through her fears and helping her see the potential for restoring—not removing—her smile. She became a loyal patient for over a decade and never lost a single tooth. Experiences like this are why Dr. Procopio says he loves what he does.
Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Dr. Procopio is a proud first-generation American—both of his parents emigrated from Italy and graduate of Jamesville-DeWitt High School. He comes from a close-knit family that includes three siblings, one of whom is also a dentist.
Outside the office, Dr. Procopio is passionate about the outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and playing tennis whenever he can. Above all, he loves spending quality time with his two children.
