Personal Biography

Dr. Brandon McDonald received his D.D.S degree from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine and then did his residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He has been practicing dentistry since 2019 and has an interest in sleep apnea management.

Dr. McDonald likes to bring a balance of professionalism and playfulness to help children find joy in what can be seen as a stressful part of a child’s experience. At the end of the day, children’s oral health will improve if they have fun and see joy in doing it, and their dental visit will help support that effort. It is equally important to Dr. McDonald to motivate good habit building techniques, as well as perform high quality treatment in his work to encourage good oral health in children.

Dr. McDonald is  from Rochester, NY. His mother is a piano and harp teacher who taught him the love of music at a young age. As a teenager, he developed a passion for running that he has continued throughout his adult life. Outside of music and running, he likes to spend my time trying new restaurants in the city and is open to giving recommendations to anyone who asks!

What others are saying about The Smilist Dental

“What a great experience! Everyone who works here is kind and caring. They take the time to explain what’s going on. They’re friendly. They make you feel taken care of. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, and I normally hate going to the dentist.”
