Personal Biography
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998, Dr. Zatcoff went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey where he received his Degree as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 2003, and his Certificate in Periodontics in 2006. Immediately after his graduation, Dr. Zatcoff became a Board Certified Periodontist in 2007. Dr. Zatcoff graduated from the Periodontal program as Chief Resident and received the Anthony R. Volpe award for Excellence in Periodontics. He also received the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Predoctoral Achievement Award, and the American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student award for achievement in Periodontology. Dr. Zatcoff began his journey at Total Dental Care of Middle Island in 2005, with him bringing a fresh, new approach to periodontal treatment. Because of his cutting edge techniques, Dr. Zatcoff makes patient’s fear and hesitation of periodontal treatment a thing of the past. Dr. Zatcoff regularly attends continuing education courses, so that he may continue to provide his patients the most up to date procedures in the Periodontal field. In 2009, Dr. Zatcoff became Clinical Director of Total Dental Care of Middle Island and has continued to providing patients and the community with affordable, quality dental care they deserve. Most recently, Dr. Zatcoff opened Total Dental Care of Staten Island, formerly the office of Dr. Sheldon Zatcoff. This is the newest TDC location and even though it has evolved in many ways, the heart and soul of the office are still that of Dr. Sheldon. Dr. Zatcoff hopes to continue to serve the Staten Island community, which is his home town and his father’s mission, for years to come.
